80-86 Bed Fitment?

It will fit, difference is the flair of the body line above the tire, yours just flairs out, early ones kinda bend in then step out. have to look at pics of early ones to see what i mean. Hard to believe its not rusted out, not many of those left.

I know, I didn't believe it either, but the owner had it removed when new so he could put a utility body on the truck....then he stored it in his barn tight & dry for the next 24 years! I really should pick it up, he wants only 400.00 which is about 1/3 or what it'd cost me to do rust repair!

Here is my 83 w a 87-97 bed. I didnt know any better( i was only 16) You can see the differences in the wheel well body groove. Where are you roger?
