I was just looking under my dash to see what the issue with power to the lighter and noticed that not only was there no fuse but the two contacts were not in the box either. I sat there and wondered can they be pulled out or what...puzzled???

On my 64 I got two wires going into a bundle. No juice to them either. I never have made a dedicated effort to find where they go.

I just light my smokes off of the hot chicks that seem to flock to the truck.

You are looking in the wrong place for the lighter fuse, it's not in the fuse panel.

When one knows where to look, there's no puzzlement.
You can look till Armageddon comes for a glass lighter fuse, you won't find one, you wanna know why?

Because....there is no such thing.

FEW14429A .. Lighter Fuse-Barrel Shaped / Has one threaded male end and one female threaded end / Obsolete

Fits: 1957/72 ALL Trucks / 1957/66 ALL Passenger Cars / 1961/74 Econoline / 1967/69 Falcon/Comet/Fairlane/Torino.

This fuse's female end threads onto the stud located on the backside of the lighter SOCKET, then the wire pushes onto the fuse's threaded male end.

The original factory installed fuse had a hole in it...which when a paper clip (or similar) was inserted, could reset it.

Ok, so I was just checking as I have the fuse you talk about. It is the one that went zap yesterday when I pushed the lighter in to check it out and sparks flew out. Opened up the fuse and nothing looked out of the norm, burned or anything but the lighter no longer works. I'll try that little hole and see if it resets anything.
