Best Mod Ever!!!
ok.. if you haven't noticed by some of my posts, a big focus for me is mileage.
I found the best mod ever tonight ...
SCREW THE FUEL FILTER IN CORRECTLY!!!
I drove from my house to the daycare where my kids go (about 1/3 mile). I left it idle when I got there. I was a hair over a half tank when I got there. When I came out, I noticed a big puddle on the ground. I didn't think much of it until I got in the truck and noticed my tank was down to about 1/4. I looked on the ground and noticed the puddle coming from the backside of my engine. OH ****!!!
I figured out that I must have cross-threaded the fuel filter cap into the fuel bowl. Luckily, the cap was one that didn't require any special tools I shut the truck off, screwed the cap back in, but didn't quite get it all the way. Got the truck back home and got the cap reseated correctly.
At least the fuel bowl got drained and doesn't have any water in it. The sensor that operates the dummy WIF light started leaking this summer, so I plugged it with a brass plug.
