Lost my brakes
The day after I bought the X I was doing about 60mph on the VZ bridge in NY. Car stops short in front of me, I hit the brakes hard & my foot goes right to the floor!!!!! Thank God no one was next to me. Swerve two lanes to the right slam on the parking brake & droped it into low!
Didnt hit anything! So after catching my breath, I nursed it home at 10 mph. I now know about the rusty brake lines. Guys CHECK YOUR BRAKE LINES!!!! My rotted under the drivers side floor.

Thats scarey, glad everybody is ok
Good driving by the way, most people would have just panicked
I got my X in mid 09. The shocks were gone & the brakes were so so
I installed new bilsteins all around so it handles better now and I installed Stillen slotted rotors so it stops better too
Going to get the Stillen AP big brake kit this year
