So I just purchased a 2001 4x4 V10 Excursion Limited and I have a question about the locking hubs. The writing has worn off so all I have is the small indention and very vague information from the owners manual about the auto/manual hubs. Which way do I need to turn for auto and which way is locked. I know it is simple but I can 't figure it out.
Welcome, and just for your edification, the lottery is a tax on stupidity.
I want to say righty tighty (lock) and lefty loosy (auto), but I'm not sure on it. There are a couple of post on here about this exact same problem, so it's either not a stupid question or there are a lot of stupid questions here, take your pick.
I posted looking for the same thing about 3 weeks ago. I cannot remember what the outcome was. There is a picture in the owners manual so I went with that. I will see if I can dig up my old post and edit this one when I find it.
