Question about front bumpers
I need to replace the front bumpers on 2 different trucks, a 78 F250 and a 79 F150. My question is will any front bumpers from 80s Ford trucks fit? The local junk yards don't have anything older than 1980 anymore, ours are going straight to the crusher.

I dont think so but I am not 100% postive. I only say this because I bought a used off road bumper from CL modified to fit an 85 F150. Once I got it home I took my front bumper off (78 F150) and tried to match them up. The one built for the 85 would not line up. The mount for the 78 F150 was smaller. In any case I would take measurements before I bought anything. Luckly I have a wielder and can modify it to fit.

Nope they are different.
Aftermarket companies make these bumpers though at questionable quality. IE: CHINA
You could probably order one through the wrecking yard as well, or if the have a parts locator service.
