pulled codes, need help
I pulled the codes on my 88 with a 5.8. The codes are 33- EGR valve opening not detected and 96- fuel pump secondary circuit failure EEC didn't detect battery voltage on the fuel pump monitor circuit. The first one I can figure out its the second code I don't understand. What is the fuel pump monitor circuit.

The computer monitors the output of the fuel pump relay. Code 96 comes up if the computer doesn't see 12V on this wire. This can be due to a fuel pump problem, a relay problem, or it could be something as simple as switching tanks while the engine is running. If you aren't having any problems with the fuel pumps running, I wouldn't worry about it.
