i got one for really cheap...its efi..speed density...and i want to swap it in my jeep...but i got a few questions...it didnt come with the computer or wirring harness...and i also know its speed density..i will like to keep the efi...but everyone says to run a mustang computer, harness and maf...but is it that simple? i need help..i know nothing about ford engines...only that i like them over chevy and dodge..
also there is a guy selling me a harness of a 95 5.0 mustang for 40 bucks and the comptuer..but i read somewhere to use the 90 to 93 mustang computer..
autozone has the computers from 70 to 150 depending on the year..and have different codes..which idk wtf they mean..
The motor will run with either an SD or MAF computer, but you will have to do some special wiring on the harness to make it compatable with a MAF version since this motor uses the old firing order. That involves moving 4 injector wires and converting it to use a single O2 sensor, this is how the Ford MAF conversion kits for these trucks are setup and it works perfectly.
