My new 2010's a/c is acting weird. The a/c will be on on the pass. side and the heat on the drivers side even though the drivers side is set at 65 and the pass. at 70. Actual temp was probably around 70-75. Can this be adjusted, or is it screwed? I hate to leave it at the dealer all day if I can adjust it myself.
I have the same issue as you and have not been to the dealer yet. When I have the temp. set at 70 for both sides, the drivers side blows cool/cold air and the passengers side hot air even though it's set on dual, not individual control. I am comfortable but the passenger is always hot unless I lower the temp. and than I freeze.
Mine does the same thing. Driver is comfortable, but passenger side blows hot. Doesn't matter if on dual or individual control. Only way to make pass blow cold is to drop to 60 on setting...waiting on a few more punch list items to take back to dealer....
Well at least I'm not alone. I was going to wait a bit also beffore going to the dealer to see if any other bugs come up. Its only a few weeks old. I'm hoping one of the Ford techs will pop in and shed some light on this.
just spoke w/ a buddy that has a 450, his driver side was blowing hot, opposite of us...he said they had to do a dash off to fix it, $1000 later... cause he was out of the 36000 mile warranty, so make sure to address it before the 3/36 is out...didn't get to ask what part was changed but just a heads up...
Brought it in today. Had to get some bedliner overspray off. This a/c deal baffeled my service writer. Says they will get into it tomorrow. It didnt do it all day there. On my way home it started again and I made a fast u turn and got the service writer to ride with me. Apparently the engine needs to be warm for this to happen. I'll keep you guys posted.
what about the recirculate button, I have never owned a vehicle that would switch to outside air after I pushed the recirculate button. I hit the button, a few minutes later we enjoy the foul air from the other vehicles, why?
Got it back today. They changed the control head and its doing the same thing. They said Ford tech line tells them that this is normal? I drove two other trucks on the lot and they both did the same thing. Bad design? This sucks. My wife has a Yukon with auto a/c and there are no issues.
Ok after being told this was normal, it got worse. I couldnt select the lower vents. They changed the damper and that didnt work. Finally they changeds the control head and now no more problems.
I also had this problem. The dealer replaced the control head, which did not fix the problem. I took it back and they said they found a TSB that said it was normal if the left and right vents were up to 15 degrees different. (mine was over 25 degrees off) It also said to replace the right actuator motor assy. They did replace the actuator and the problem was fixed. Both sides blowing the same temp now. The TSB is 09-12-15
