Steering Gearbox Codes Question
I have a 91 F150 Supercab 2WD with a worn out steering box.
I found someone parting out a low mileage 92 Explorer, but the codes on the gearbox ID tags are different.
My code is SPA DX and the one from the Explorer is SPA FW.
All the part stores online list that the same gearbox fits both trucks, so I think it will work, but I am still wanting to know what the difference is before I waste any money.
Anyone know what the difference between the two codes is?
