Brake Lights stuck on - help

I went outside today and the brake lights of my ford ranger are on. It hasn't been driven for two days, I've disconnected everything and the lights are still on. Both exterier rear lights and the third light at the back of the cab, any ideas?

I've had a lot of problems with this truck!!!

Welcome to FTE.

Might be helpful to know the year, model & how it's equipped.

Raise the hood & try disconnecting the brake lamp lead on the brake master cylinder & tell us what happens.

On the pedal arm there is a switch that probably has gone south. should have 2 wires to it. disconnect and probably have to go to the dealer to get a replacement.

Ditto on the switch on the pedal. Should be able to buy it at any decent parts house
