it's been two years since the dealership changed my sway bar end links. Now it's winter in Michigan & our roads are going to hell again & I'm hearing that same rumble/clunking in the front end & I think they need replacing. My question is how hard is it do do myself??My rig is a 2002 F-250 5.4
Just come back from the dealer. There are several sizes of links for the truck. Mine seem to be smaller than on linked page and I bought whole links assembled.
Retail $37 I paid $28 with my discount. A piece.
One bolt an one nut on each. Should be 15 minutes job.
Took 20 because:
1. The link bolts have the stupid 18 mm heads and none of my 4 sets of metric wrenches had it originally
2. Had to get vise grips because the vulcanized bolts were turning and there is nothing to grab but rounded flange.
