Heater control line?

Hey everyone, just urious to know if anyone has ever repaired or replaced the small white (vaccum I'm assuming) line that runs to the actuator on the heater box in the engine bay. I patched it up once and wrapped it in loom, but I think I may have come apart again. Any suggestions?

Almost everybody on this list has had the problem. I just patched mine with rubber vacuum hose. This is THE problem with our trucks!

If you search there will be many posts on this subject, some with pictures.

I figured it was common. The only truck I've never seen with it broken through is my buddy's '92 F-150 that was garaged all its life and only has about 50K on it. His other '92, my '94 and my '95 all seem to have this ailment in one form or another. Mine never actually broke, it rubbed through on the fender.

I had this problem as well. It was repaired by using vacuum hose. I put wire loom over mine too.
