4x4 Brakes

I have a 79 full size Bronco. I have owned it for 4yrs now and have had brake problems all along. They will not lock up un a panick stop it is like having abs. I have change my breake lines, calipers, wheel cylinders, fluid, proportioning valve, master cylinder and have even upgraded the master to a one ton master. All this still lets the pedal go to the floor in a panic. I have tried to contact Ford to see if there ever was a problem with these and only the dealers were notified. Any ideas?

If your pedal height is that low,I say you aren't getting proper brake pressure to the rear because the p-valve is stuck on the front side. The way I have combatted this problem is to crack open one front bleeder while bleeding the rear. But be aware, when doin' it this way,you can't pump up the pedal then bleed the rear. You have to open the rear bleeder as your assistant is applying the pedal to the floor(the cracked open frt. bleeder will allow the pedal to slowly creep to the floor),and,of coarse, close the rear bleeder before the pedal is released.A few of these bleeds in the rear, then close the front bleeder and bleed the front. This should throw the p-valve to a middle position, allowing even pressure to the front and rear. Finally, this HAS to be done with the engine running on a power brake system.Another suggestion is to adjust the rear shoes 'til they rub on the drum & make sure the "long" shoe is faceing the rear of the truck on both sides.
