I need some help. I have a 75 f-150 4x4 with a 360 4spd. it was power assist steering from factory but was converted to manual before i bought it. i want to convert it to power steering but have been told it can not be done because there was something wierd about the 75s with power assist. can anyone explain this to me ? and tell me how to convert it to power. thanks rick
I'm not aware of any particular quirk for a 75 4x4 with power assist. If there is any wierd part it's that you will have a hard time finding good used parts. The assist cylinder generally leaked and most feel this system is inadequate anyway especially if you have large tires and off-road. There is a way to convert to true power steering on these trucks.
