302 600 cfm 'brock issues
I'm having some issues with my 'brock carb it's a 1406-1110 600 cfm eletric choke carb with no egr... It has been running like a champ since i purchased the f100 and drive it yesterday and it ran great. This morning i'm going to work and i start it up and let it run for about 10 min before i leave. on the street i live on is heavy cops so i dont open up the 4bbl up until the hwy. (3.5'' pipes w/ 40 series flowmaster) once on the hwy. I was going to pass a T/A and out of no where i hit the gas and she falls on her face... i drove to work fine but when i go to hammer it, it kinda backfires via exhast and carb...so i have afeeling its in the secondarys thus why the primary got me to work and home with out a problem. if i go past a 1/4-3/8 peddal she starts to bog out but if i accel. slow i can feather the gas and it will rev up. so does anyone know and info on this carb i cant find if its a vaccume 2nd or manual i dont see any hoses but when i mess with the throttle with the air filter off i can't see any fuel coming out the 2nd's the butterfly flaps on the primarys but the 2nd dont move at all? but i can move them via screwdriver... any help?
thanks, Brian
It is a mechanical secondary (rear throttle plates open via linkage) with a secondary air flap on top that slowly opens as required to eliminate a lean bog since there is no rear accelerator pump.
