Well, yesterday I made the drive down to tucson to meet up with Bill W to pickup the 240.
I was driving one of the company trucks from my dads work, a 74 F350, and the night before I had the alternator literally come apart and short on the block, after replacing that and replacing some fried wires, Started on my adventure.
Met up with Bill about 6 or so, and the truck kept dieing while we were trying to lift the engine into the bed with the lift gate, eventually we hooked up a battery charger to it and it made it up, so then before heading back up to Phoenix, stopped at a checker to have it all tested, found out the charging system wasn't putting out...
So, I ended up having to get a motel room, and Bill charged up my battery and let me borrow an extra so I could make it home. Fun fun!
So in return I am sending Bill an Oil Pressure gauge that he needs, haha
nothing like a little excitement for a thursday night. It was nice to meet you in person, Joel. hope the 240 gets you down the road for a while. did you have to use the extra battery?
nope! Made it home on just the one, but it started sputtering just as I was gettin home. We're really thinkin voltage regulator right now, partially due to the fact that the alt gauge is doing nothing, idk, we'll figure it out this weekend.
It was nice to meet you in person too Bill, It's funny how you kinda get some idea of what a person is like in real life, and then you meet them in person, it's kinda cool to actually know who it is you're talking to!
