You will get alot of assistance from very knowledgeable people. Take time and do a little reading of previous posts... it provides a wealth of information. Also, there is a "search" button at the top of the page, which will help you in your quest for ideas.
What do you plan to do with this truck? If you are going to keep the tires near stock size, run mostly empty all the time, and drive it daily, I would agree with the 5.0. If you are going to run large tires, and play around in the sand, and not worry about fuel mileage, I would get a larger engine. If you have a 400, I would keep it, and go to the 351m/400 forum on this board and get some ideas on how to build up the 400. You may also get a idea of how to tell if it's a 351m or a 400.
