Fuel Thing??
I have an electric pump mounted on the driverside fender well near the window washer can. Slightly higher than what would be the mechanical fuel pump position. Dual Tanks with the switching solenoid under the drivers seat where the `Stock Manual Switching` valve was. I use Anti Surge Locking gas caps on each tank filler cap..
i can see `Bubbles` ( Air in the fuel filter After the Electric Pump) as the the Pump is working.
Iam at my wits end for this Fuel Starvation thing.
All the hose clamps are `Tight` Is it commom to see `Air` in a clear fuel filter?? Today the pump seemed to keep running looking for Fuel to develope preasure in the line !! Under bed tank FULL, Cab tank Half full (I was running on this one at the time)
Could the fuel tank solenoid be Not Shifting and delivering fuel?? Or could the Gas Caps not allow enough `Vent` to restrict suction of the Electrict pump??
I gave Up on the Mechanical pump last spring for this same problem.
First time this has happened since installing the Elecrric Pump.
HELP!!!!!

Most electric pumps should be mounted as close to the tank/s as possible. They're designed to push the fuel, instead of pulling it.

You most likely have a pin hole allowing air into a fuel line. There should not be any bubbles, at all. Try remounting the pump on the chassis near the tanks, and replace all the old rubber line. It's even possible that a steel line could have rusted through. This would most likely happen where the line passes through a clamp, or crossmember where dirt could collect and hold moisture.
2 months old. I have ordered another Tank switching Solenoid valve to have handy.
Time will tell!

I have a '74 F100 Custom, with an after-market tank added on, besides the previous two. I've noticed that if I don't pull the lever (under the seat) all the way over, and make sure that it's all the way over, I get something to the effect of what you're experiencing. But that's just mine. May or may not help. Good luck.
