I was wondering if anyone on here thinks it is overpriced? I priced it that way because I am looking to buy a Lincoln LS and I would like to be able to purchase the car and have money left over to do some maintenance right away (fluids flush and refill) and have money for repairs/goodies if they happen right away.
well that is a little rich for me.... but hey im cheap, and i have no money.lol. but with everything done to that truck, and with as good a shape as it seems to be in, i say that is about right. my only question at that price is, how are the rockers holding up? my 97's are about half gone, but it did spend its whole life (until last august) in indianapolis and they salt like its going out of style. but if your truck has no/minimal rust, id say thats a fair price.
an unrelated matter, where did you get the factory style mud flaps? or did they come with the turck? this is maybe the 3rd or 4th 150 ive seen with them, and i like them and would like to get a set for my truck if they are reasonable. thanks and im sorry you have to sell your truck
I've had people contact me so it must not be too rich for some. The rocker panels, due to the bloody running boards there are two holes in the front. I did what I can to help stop the cancer but I would like to throw the running boards back on to help for some more protection under there. They put the running boards on and they took out body plugs in the front that allowed mud and water to get into the rocker panel, literally I had mud in my rocker panel, it's not bad for going through michigan winter and their salty roads.
They look factor but they are not from the factory. I forgot the brad they are but I paid about 100 bucks for the 4 of them, maybe 120. They're made of a harder plastic.
It's ok, I need to get some mpgs and I'm not going to be on here asking people how to crank them out of almost a 7000 pound truck. I'm having a hard time finding a Lincoln LS however.
my dads o2 has running boards and the rockers are solid as a rock. his probably doesnt see as much salt as mine did or as yours does. but he also drives a lot on gravel and the runners do add protection there.
thanks for the pricin on the mud flaps, that doesnt sound too bad... now to find a set! lol
haha cant go wrong with a lincoln... good luck finding a nice one that is priced right
I wish I could say the same about mine. It kinda snuck up on me. One day I decided to poke around down there, it grinds my gears that it happened because I thought I kept the truck clean for the most part. The dirt roads definitely didn't help the truck much, but the two holes in the rockers that's it. Fiberglass bed, and the front fenders are clean.
If I find a brand stamped on them tomorrow I'll let ya know, need to take some pictures for some people.
I have found a couple I got the links, I'm just a little iffy buying something that I haven't owned since the start. I'm just torn between the V6 for fuel economy and the V8 for power. I really want the V8 because I want the car to be more fun to drive. What do you all think of this?
hey thanks. but if you cant, i imagin ill be ok i saw some through summit for less than 30 butcks for a set of two. i just dont know about quality.
as for the lincolns.. as far as price and miles i like the first one. (silver)
but that white one sure is sharp. and from the pictures it seems very clean.
now as for v8 vs v6 thats about a shot in the dark for me. we did that with an 07 mustang. we ended up with a v6 for economy with a 5 speed and i tell you what, i think it is one of the funnest cars i have ever driven. the gts have so much power that they are scary.lol i have no idea if this would be the same with a lincoln though. but if i had the money (and couldnt have a truck) id go for the white one.
will you have something else for winter or will you just have to take it easy in the lincoln once you get it?
That's not a bad price for your truck. Not around here anyway.
Last time I checked my truck on KBB it was around 13 or 16000. But it's a year newer and only has 30,000 miles on it...lol
There's something about a Lincoln LS with a v8 and nearly 300hp (04' and up) that I like, sounds like fun. I'm still searching. I saw one around Ft. Wayne with a lot of extras that's for sale with 75,000 miles for 8,500 and he said the price was negotiable.
I'll be taking it easy in the winter. Once I get the car i'm looking for I'll be looking to get summer and winter wheels for it. I think it would look nice on bigger wheels and better tires. Then keep the stock wheels for winter with winter tires. Then of course some 3% window tint and maybe a system if the original one don't suffice.
Thanks Phil lol. Your truck should be worth much more than that with all the work you put into it right?

You might want to consider a Town car or Mercury Grand marquis, My cousin has an LS with the V-6 and I can get just as good, if not better mileage, with more room, and just as much fun to drive.
I'm sorry, don't take offense to this, but someone my age shouldn't be driving a town car or a grand marquis. I'm excited for my truck though, on a round trip to Detroit I got just over 15 mpg on the 400 mile trip today. I don't know if this was due to me going back down to 87 octane or not.
i read through them, i don't mind the cops problems and since they've been out of production for a few years now and they are having some miles on them i figured they should have the serious problems taken care of already. That's why i'm looking at an (03'-06) preferably and 04' and up so some of the bugs are out of it.
