6.4L Advice

Gentleman,

I am thinking of taking the plunge and actually buying a newer vehicle.
2008 F-250 with the 6.4 with an SCT and DPF. I am unfamiliar with the 6.4L and am asking your opinions of the motor and its' dependability. In addition, it still has a 100,000 warranty which is obviously voided with
an SCT and DPF on the truck. I am curious if any of you guys had this modification to your truck and had to take it in to the dealer for work, what did you do? If you took the mods off, can the dealer take note that you have been using a programmer and DPF? How long does it take to put the original DPF back in?

Thanks for all the help

Welcome to FTE. I would suggest that you post your question in the 6.4L section of the forum. They also have a Tech Folder which should contain some good info. The link is below.
