My truck seems to be missing due to a fuel problem, most of the time between 70mph and 80mph as I accelerate it jumps and jerks, if I stand on the pedal it goes away or if I let off it stops. It also does it real bad when pulling a heavy load. I have taken it to the dealership two times and they haven't found the problem. but also they don't go drive it at 80 either. Hopefully one of you gurus have seen this before. Thanks in advance
I'll actually be pulling mine out to clean it. From what I've been told here on the site and from what else I've read, it may be stuck which will not allow the boost to build properly.
I would have to have the truck for this one. could be ipr/standpipe issues. could be injector, oil pressure issue on the hpp side like block off going bad, fuel pressure.
One other side note, my truck has been run with a diablo programmer for all but 10k on the 60hp setting and the other 10k it was run on 100hp boost. truck has 83k not sure if this matters just thought I would add the info
I have tried that before and it still did it with the programmer out, UPDATE: I pulled the EGR and it was nastier than the one in the how to picture, in some spots there was at least an eighth inch thickness of black ****, anyway I went for a spin on the hwy and I couldn't get it to act up anymore, but that doesn't mean its fixed cause somedays it doesn't act up. As of now I'm gonna hope its fixed but if acts up again I will post back thanks for the help
