Fuel pump question.

Does anyone know the stock fuel pump(s) GPM for a 1989 F-150 with a 300 I6 EFI? The reason for my question is that I'll be dropping in a slightly modified 302 and just want to make sure the stock fuel pump(s) will hold up. Motor is a stock bottom end from a '88 Mustang HO with E-street heads, Air Gap intake, E303 cam, and a Holley 600 carb (maybe a Holley 650 double pumper, haven't made up my mind on which carb yet). Truck is going to be used as a hunting truck/mud toy/weekend warrior. Anyway thank you in advance......

If your going carb there is now way you will exceed the GPM of an EFI pump. EFIs require much higher fuel pressure than a carb. I'm sure you knew this. And I know pressure is different from volume. But you would need Forced induction before you would exceed the volume that that pump can deliver. I'm sure.

Oh.....and if it blows up, build it bigger. Lol

The biggest problem is that the I6 4.9 EFI engine uses a 60 PSI pump.
All other EFIs use a pump at 30 PSI.
Carburated should only run at 3 to 6 PSI.
No matter what you run, you will be changing pumps.
