Transfer case bracing
I am doing a rebuild on my transfercase (Borg Warner 1356) in my 88 diesel single cab and I have been reading some stuff that concerns me a bit. My case is not braced and I am running 6" rear blocks and 38" tires. I have heard that an unbraced case is very suceptible to damage from axlewrap, which I am sure I have.
My question is: should I fab up a brace for the transfer case? If so, should I use rubber bushings so that is can flex a bit as I twist up the frame off-road, or can it be a solid mount?
