My Son had his tranny professionally rebuilt. The company is doing everything they can to find him a new or good used shifter assembly. The original one just won't work with the new tranny.
It's a 3 spd w/OD. The linkages are on the outside of the tranny. I guess they call it a RUG tranny. It's on a 78 1/2T 2x2 w/6 cylinder engine. Does anybody have any idea where to find a NOS or rebuilt shifter assembly?
Thanks in advance for any help! Knobshine
I don't know about a stock shifter, but Hurst makes one: shifter part# 391 0024 and installation kit part# 373 8620. I'm interested in swapping this transmission into an old Galaxie. Do you know the length of the transmission from where it bolts to the bellhousing to the end of the tailshaft? If you do, can you e-mail it to me. Thanks
