I'm trying to bleed the brakes after replacing the rear wheel cylinders on my 1990 F-150. Even though I top off the master cylinder frequently, I keep getting air at the bleeders.
The master cylinder reservoir is plastic, and looking through the plastic walls, I can see that there appear to be four chambers in the reservoir. I finally noticed that the two middle chambers are very low, and they don't fill up when I top off the reservoir. I think this is where the air is coming from. I can't imagine why the fluid doesn't make it into those two chambers.
