need some opinions
My uncle has a 89 f-150 xlt lariat reg cab long bed 5.0 2wd 5 speed(believe is the mazda 5) It's been sitting for about 7 years give or take a year. Im gonna try and get him to let me fix it up and use it while i fix some things on mine (ball joints), i know to change the normal stuff. plugs, wires, oil, need to take out bad gas and put fresh in. like some advice on what else to check and change. like i said it has been sitting for 7 years don't think it's been started in that time either.

You pretty much have it covered with the fuel, oil, plugs, distributor cap, rotor, you can do plug wires, change fuel filter. See how it runs then you can clean the iac out, stuff like that.
One important thing to not overlook, is tires. If they have been sitting for that long, whether they look good or not, they should probably be replaced.

ok thanks i didn't think about the fuel filter or the iac. and i was gonna get some cheap tires for now the longest distance i go is to work and that's just under 2 miles at 35mph tops. but it turns out i might not need it cause i keep reading on how to do balljoints and the more i read the more i don't wanna try it. but more opinions are still good. im trying to get him to sell it to me so i can make it into a half street half weekend track truck.
