well, came out to my truck today after starting it up and noticed a puddle of oil on the ground underneath, in the area where the downpipe connects to the rest of the exhaust. The last time i saw this was when i changed the injectors out, went away of course at that time. But now the oil is back, leaving a pretty good puddle. And also, the truck is smoking like a siv! My first guess is Injector Orings. I put new Orings on them when i installed them. I guess something could have happened on install. But anyway, need some input
Thanks
I too have the smoking issue, no real oil to speak of, I just had my truck this morning at Ford for the speed recall and they told me it would need a diag, but first guesses are the EGR or control module for the injectors.
Seems to idle fine, i did get some romps this morning after it had been warm. I shut the truck down after i got out of it to go into the gym and then started it back up and it romped a couple times on me, the first time it has done that
Clay, do u stock Orings?? Im hoping it isnt my turbo.
Yep, OEM o-rings are in stock. I am wondering if it is coming from your turbo as well. Did you buy it new? Do you have the extra o-rings that come with it?
I guess only one way to find out. Remove the DP and inspect it. Im guessing if it is soaked, then it is the turbo huh? It is a good amount of oil that is on the ground. Leaving a puddle about the size of pop can laying on its side. Maybe not quite that big. And u can see it dripping pretty good
Most likely not, I would just check to see if there is any play.... just for the hell of it before I ventured to the exhaust side. I would try to eliminate everything I could before anything else come off the motor.
