you should be able to pick one up at your local auto zone or advance for less than $100. but it will only be a generic scanner most likely with no live data. but it WILL scan the vehicle. or you can find a local mac or snap-on dealer and buy one from them, but they are proud of them. $1200 is about the cheapest you can find that will do every thing on most all domestic vehicles obd1 and obd2.
