Window operation after break-in...

I have a 97 Expy and a few weeks ago someone pried the upper right hand corner of my drivers window out of the channel and used a tool to pull open my door lock. Obviously, the thief took a few things but I'm really more upset about damage to my Expedition. Since this time, when I hit the switch to raise the window, it attempts to pop out of the track in the same direction that it was pried open originally. I took apart the door and inspected but there does not appear to be any adjustment. The manual does not address adjustment at all as far as I can tell. I have ordered a new track (rubber over metal, I think) from the dealer for (OUCH) $80 and will put it in, but I am a little worried that this in not going to really solve the problem. Have any of you expierenced simular issues, and if so, is there additional adjustment.

All replies would be appreciated!

Thanks... Ken
