I'm doing the powersteering conv and need to know
What Type of fluid it uses i was told ATF is
this true? All the stuff is out if a 75/F350
Also do i need the return pipe loop (must be a cooler of some kind)or can i hook the return line
right to the pump? Thanks to any reply's
This is going into a 72/F250/360/4speedstd
Now I'm confused. I'm doing the conversion on a '69 F100 with parts from a '77 F150. When robbing the donor truck, there was no sign of a cooler and both lines went directly to the pump. Was a cooler only used on the larger trucks? I noticed that the donor in this post was an F350.
sc I used a 76F100 for my 66F100. There was a metal tube line that came from the gear, and zig zaged back and forth along the chassis rail, like a refrigarator line and then up to the pump.
I can't make an arguement for it. I have only heard stories of burned up pumps, and the trucks did come with them.

In the still cool hours of the night, you can hear chevys rusting away.
