If pull the injector next to it, can you get a vise grip or something on it. I had one swollen gp as well. It took almost an our of slowly twisting and pulling it out, but it finally came.
You'll probably have to take the rockers off on that one to make room. Get some needle nose vice grips and some pb blaster and spray a little on then grab what's left as hard as you can and start twisting and pulling till it comes out. It's going to take a while probably but I haven't had to pull a head yet.
Sometimes it's helpful after it's come up a little ways to knock it back down some. It knocks the carbon off and lets it come up easier. Just don't knock it in.
Also, I've never done this but a friend of mine at the dealer did, he would spray pb blaster on it once the threaded part was all the way up then crank up the engine. Once he forgot to take the hood off and it shot a hole through it.
I don't recommend this because it is dangerous but it almost always worked for him.
Cool, glad just the window got hurt, wow! If that happened to me I wouldn't sound like I knew english either because I would be so pissed an i wwoud bee currseein aaad trowikng stufffen myy gooddnkiss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope he took his hood off first! I hate that method personally because I have been shot before. TWICE! I doubt a flying glow plug would be much different damage wise.
I'm glad only the window was broke.
I forget the torque spec. Isn't it 10-15 ft lbs?
Oh, I also forgot to mention, when you got a carboned up one like that be sure to test it electrically after you replace it. Do an ohm test all the way through the valve cover gasket to the plug. The two outer pins are for the corresponding glow plugs power feed. Just ground the negative side of your meter to the batt negative and touch the positive lead to the pin for that plug.
Usually if a glow plug got all gunked up, it wasn't getting power. You need to find out why.
i did try the start it up trick and it did't work and as the window goes i was mad as a sunofa b**t** and the hammer flew across the shop and byebye $200.00 window. thanks for everbody help. shoot twice that i would hear
