Help, idle and acceleration

Within the last four weeks or so, been getting an increasing jumpy or uneven idle. Especially before engine warms up. When I acccelerate, it's almost choking out. It improves after the engine is good and warm. Changed the oil as well as the fuel filter. I have been looking through threads, but I was hoping someone could point me in some direction. I dont think it's CPS based on it improving with heat up. I was seeing some stuff about the MAP Sensor and the TPS. Are these the things I should be reading about? Please help....Thx...Ron.

How cold has it been in the last 4 weeks Ron? Could it just be the normal EBPV operation? Did you had the CPS recall done about 4 weeks ago?

Sensors like MAP or TPS tend to act funny all the time, not just cold.

Sorry missed the rest. CPS was changed out over a year ago. I did the wire harness fix on the passenger side some time ago which fixed a previous problem. I have not done the driver side yet. It doesnt seem the same as that, since it resolves as it heats up.

No smoke unless I get on it. Same as normal. Began as a rough idle, when cold in the morning. I'm talking about Ca. cold which isnt that cold. Then seemed to get worse and worse over the over the last few weeks. Starts right up. I leave the house and it hestitates as I accelerate from a stop. Continues doing that until it warms up good. Looking at threads, I thought I would change oil, filter and fuel filter first. Did that and no change. Heard it could be the MAP sensor, but now I read that it probably wouldn't improve with heat. So I'm not sure.

I would check your glowplugs to make sure they are working but, as Chris said, it sounds like EBPV operation. Also, how old is your air filter?
