Starter gremlin
Hi All,
Back with another question. The last few days, my Early 99 7.3 PSD CC has been acting weird. The starter will engage when running and in gear. (Auto trans) Searching through the forums, I found threads that indicated the ignition switch under the dash on the steering column was the culprit along with the keyed switch as well. I changed out the switch under the dash, but now I am noticing the shifter handle when you move when its in neutral it will cause the starter to engage. Searching the forums again, I see how to tighten it up, by checking the torx screws on the column (it does have some slop). My question is is there something else I should be looking at? I'm going to change the keyed switch this weekend, the replacement I bought fell apart when I pulled the sleeve off, so I will be taking that one back!
