Hey guys I just purchased a 2004 6.0 lifted excursion. I previously had a 94 wrangler with lockers and 36" tires. My excursion has 37x12.5x17" tires on it and they are worn out. The previous owner said the lift was a 6" but there seems to be a lot of clearance for a 6" lift. How can I tell for sure? I think it is an 8". It also has 2 sets of blocks in rear. One is a 2" and the other is a 3". They are stacked and I was thinking if I have an 8" lift I would like to remove the 2" blocks and drop down to a 6" lift. Another question is how to lower the front 2"? Can I remove one of the springs in the front pack or would I have to buy a whole new 6" pack. If I can lower this by 2" I would like to install a 36x13 tire. Thanks guys, this is a great forum.
Second, stacked blocks are not the way to go. So removing the small one is good.
Third, the front. Fronts can be lifted with a spring hanger, new springs, or both. How about some snapshots so we can see what you have so as to offer some help.
