I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the Tuff Country 2" lift kit. I'm just looking to lift my truck a tad to have plenty of clearance for 33" BFGs. I've read some not so good things about what the torsion keys do to ball joints and I'm wondering if this is a valid concern. Thanks in advance for the advice.
2001 F150 5.4L crew, 4x4, XLT, 108k miles (very well maintained).
my brother did the 33 on his 99,but we used a 4 inch body lift.and with 108 k on your truck im supprised that you havnt had to install new balljoints already, there good for 100k.
Cranking the Torsion bars up without changing the keys will smoke the ball joints, no doubt. However, I believe that the new keys will eliminate that problem. Also, I got keys, add-a-leaf, and 4 skyjacker shocks (0-2" lift) for right at 375 from Summit. I think the keys are a little more now, but still worth it. I got 34" tires (295-70-17) Terra Grapplers from Nitto and they rock. I did the add-a-leaf instead of the blocks because I just don't like the idea of all my weight sitting on a square block.

A very good point about the add-a-leaf vs. blocks. I'll rethink that one. I agree about cranking the torsion bars - they are set that way for a reason and anytime you increase tension, something somewhere has to give; in this case, the ball joints.
