Stage 8 locking fasteners

Hi all,
Did any of you ever use Stage 8 locking fasteners for say valve covers, transmission oil pan, etc. or is Locktite just as good?

I would give it a try... My passenger side valve cover & transmission gaskets need to be changed, but as you all know the intake is a difficult job & I don't feel like removing the intake manifold...

I would not use locktite on pan and cover gasket bolts. After you install the gaskets and drive it for a week or two, those fasteners should be re-torqued because the gasket shrinks.

You can buy those fancy bolts if you would like, it would not hurt a thing. But the ordinary bolts the factory used never gave any problems.

I agree with Franklin2, I wouldn't use 'em as later removal/installation/adjustment could be a
royal pain. They're fine if you want to look cool to your friends or try to pick up girls ("Hey,
wanna come to my place and check out my tranny cover bolts?" *wink*) but that's
superficial BS if you ask me.
