I had my head serviced recently due to possible crack. I am trying to put it back on but when they serviced it my markings on the cam sprocket are gone to line up with my old timing belt. How am I to make sure thats its exactly at Top Dead center?
The key in the crankshaft will be at 12:00 noon, not AM, when the crankshaft is at TDC. The crank pulley will have its notch at about 2:00. The AM was a joke.
The cam has a triangle which needs to align with the pointer mounted at about 4 o'clock to the cam pulley.
Look in the tech sticky at the top for belt change procedure. I sent them the Word DOC file that used to be pointed to about a month or so ago, but don't think they have it up yet.
