tranny problems

I had my truck in the shop for a bad oil sending unit sensor and I told the dealership to service my transmission since it was shifting really hard, or not shifting unit I let off the accelorator. Now that they serviced it, its barely shifting at all. today I was driving to my house in the boondocks on a state road that is moderately traveled. The truck had been sitting for about 3-5 hours before. On the way there the highest speed I managed to get to was about 53mph. While in town I accidently pressed down too much on the accelorator and it started slowing down. I release the accelorator a little and it kept going but it still shifted hard. usually when the trans temp guage is in the center it shifts fine, but today it was opposite of that. i was climbing a small hill, once about 5 miles from my house and the second which is in front of my house. the first hill i lost speed trying to get up, the second there was a stop light at the bottom of the hill which is quite a steep hill. I have had this truck for 15 months and I noticed that after I got new tires for the truck, that it has been doing this. it may be a coincidence, not sure. its really starting to get annoying.
