14.7k PCM ?'s

Ok this may sound a little weird but thats why Im asking you guys. Would the PCM program change the effects of the 14k mod? I ask because before when I tried the mod no matter what resistance I put in it it didnt run any better, in fact it made it run worse. Now recently I had the dealer reflash my PCM with what they called a 97 program in my 96. Joe thought it was probably one version or other of the TDE-0 or TDE-1 now do you think that would make a differnce in the 14k mod if I tried it again or would I be wasting my time?

If it didn't do anything before, then either the PCM was screwy or the ICP sensor. I would think that it would work now. When I had mine reflashed it acted like a whole new truck. I'll bet your PCm was messed up like mine. Didn't you have an Edge Evo in that truck at one time?

Yeah at one time it had an EVO on it. Why do you think Im the biggest anti EDGE guy here. But for what its worth apparently the programming does have an effect on the mod. Since I hadn't heard from anybody before I left work this morning (I sit here and do this for 12 hrs at night when Im supposed to be working) So I decided to put the resistors back in before I went home. I put in a combination (Idont remeber which one) that had failed in the past (all of them had) and sure enough it worked. Still not the best combo but it was working. So it would appear that PCM programming does have an effect on the 14.7k mod.
