Need help 92 trans problem
Hey new to forum looks like a great site. I have just purchased a 92 f-250 4x4 with auto trans. The 1st ford diesel for me. Bad is the trans goes into reverse fine but will not move in forward gears. has plenty of fluid prob to much. will move if I rev up but does not fully ingage. Im thinking rebuild but just wanted to check with those of you that are more exp with e4od trans. Any input would be greatley app thanks.

you should drain some fluid if you think it has to much.
rebuilding a trans is not really for the average shade tree mechanic.but if you get the right tools and books and take your time,it can be done.
however its easier to just hit the salvage yard for a good used one imho.
