Tranny Question - Fixable?
Hey Guys - I have a quick question for ya'll. My boss has a 1997 F250. Its a heavy duty with the 460 engine and an automatic w/ Overdrive tranny. Last snow storm he only had 1st and 2nd gear. When shifting into drive, it downshifts into 1st again. Could this be fixable, or should we start looking for a replacement trans. Also, does anyone know what trans they put in this truck? The truck has almost 200k on it, so he's not looking to put a ton of money into it, all though would like to fix it. Its a great running truck. Thanks guys! Happy New Year!
