05 5.4 problems
im askin this for a friend of mine,
he has a 05 FX4 x-cab with 5.4 and an auto in it with 110,000 miles
it seems like it is runnin out of gas or out of time(shakes bad and wont rev)
this is what we have done
new plugs, cam sensors, fuel filter, checked fuel pressure
when he had it hooked to a scanner it spit out 21 codes and at first had no power at the port or cig lighter
im leanin towards a short or comp. problem with the power issues
any help would be appreciated

Shaking and not revving...sure that all the injector and COP connections are good? These connectors are usually disconnected to make the plug change easier. Re-verify all those then move on to checking the COPs. At that many miles it wouldn't be unlikely more than one are bad. I'm guessing that your getting codes P0301, P0302, P0303, etc...P0308 misfire codes?

I developed a similar problem a couple days ago with my 05 and it ended up I replaced the injectors and it fixed it. When I pulled the old injectors out I was amazed at how cheaply made these things were. They are junk.
