Alternator upgrade
Im adding a second set of off road lights and i wanna add a high amp alternator to help with all the extra electrical demands.This is an alternator that i found that seems to have the correct mounting setup for my 89.Take a look and tell me whether yall think it will work or not.....thanks....

Did a quickie look-up, and got listings for 10, 12, and 2 o'clock adjusting ear positions. If the one currently in your BII is a 10 o'clock version like the one you found - and the hook-ups are exactly the same as your current alternator, you should be good to go! I know there is a swappable alternator from the Mustangs that will swap in, I believe from the 5.0 models, and I believe that it's year-to-year (i.e. an '89 Mustang 5.0 alternator for your '89 BII)....

Another good source for upgrading to the 3G alternator is RJMinjectiontech.com I upgraded my '88 F250 using thier alternator and kit. Worth the money IMO. You can source the alternator from the junkyard and use thier kit (or make your own).
