Ok, I replaced the front pump seal, bushing, and O ring on the pump and reinstalled the tranny and it still leaks badly from the tc inspection hole. I looked at the tc when I had it out but did not see any cracks, but didn't pay any attention to the the neck , the fluid looks like it may have a little force behind it when it is leaking, kinda like a spray, can some please point me in the right direction to fix this ..thank you 1992 f150 4x4 e40d 5.8
This leak started all of a sudden while driving on the expressway., For about 1 month before the leak the trucks frontend shook real bad, I swapped the tires and it still shook(not a shudder)tranny was rebuilt approx. 13 months ago with about 20,000 miles on it, the mechanic was supposed to put a new tc, but when I took the tranny out, There was wrecking yard markings on the tc, so I am wondering if the tc could be causing the leak(maybe bad clutches inside )?
