I'm doing research about types of bed liners and wondered if anyone here could recommend a particular brand. I would do it myself to keep the cost down, and have experience spraying auto paint.
Al's is getting some good reviews over on Classic Bronco's. I've tried Herculiner, Duplicolor, Durabak and Raptorliner. Herculiner holds up the best, but fades bad. Duplicolor you may as well use rattle can paint. Durabak was on one I had briefly, not long enough for an opinion. Using Raptorliner on this project. I like that it's a 2K mix and lays down smoother than Herculiner, UV protected. But don't know how well it will hold up in a truck bed that see's heavy use.

I was impressed by how smooth the raptor finished (didn't like the 'wrinkles' or high 'crum' content) and the price ($99 on the net with the gun). I'm not sure how well my neighbor preped the tub but it 'came up' in some areas. We had a real heat/humidity wave 3 days after he sprayed it down. Several mo later the horozontal surfaces released in some areas. He blamed it on the weather. It looked great for several wks then...
I spoke w/the co on our edge panel ad - Monster - it's sitting on my desk top right now. He seemed to offer a guantee of some sort. IT also has that "smooth finish" - may be add them to your research list if U look to that result?
I have used liner extreme off eBay very good stuff any color and doesn't fade. I actually have done my entire truck in this stuff. It sprays on good and looks good. They give u the option of having rubber to put in it to make it more gritty or make it smooth without the rubber. I have a pic in my profile of my truck of what it looks like from a distance. I have used the hurculiner stuff and it doesn't compare to the liner extreme. After awhile it fades real bad and will start peeling off. The liner extreme was very easy to use I sprayed my whole truck by myself along with mixing the batches by myself in about and hour and a half. You can also roll this stuff on if u would like will give u same effect. I looked for about 3 weeks and called and emailed companys about there products but this was about the best I could find and was resonably prieced. Check it out on eBay.
I used the Rustoleum version and had good results with it. It didnt fade, but it did chip in some areas. However, I believe it was due to prep. I didn't do a good job at prepping so considerng that I was very impressed. It only chipped in small nickel size areas and was due to throwing sledge hammers in the back for work. Had the truck for 18 months and no fadding.
