got the 89 started and running great today. only problem, it blew out a brake line.1 about 6" long, that I forgot when I converted the lines to stainless steel a few years ago. guess that will be the first of many surprises

what turned out to be the problem -just need a bit more cranking?
charged battery all night, drained, and put fresh gas in the rear tank, shot it with either, it started, let it warm up good, then switched to front tank, keept running, started a few more times, still good. changed fuel filter, going to start it again in the morning to see if still ok. looks funny, I moved it from where it was sitting. forgot how high it sits, and almost fell out of it at 1 point. gotta get some steps on it, getting old.
