The rear spring kit from Chassis Engineering just arrived and was well packaged. A nice surprise was that the spring mounts bolt right into the same location as the old ford units. All the parts are phosphate coated except the shocks and springs. Looks like the hardest part of the install is removing the old rivets.
On another note got off the hook with the shop that's fabing up the new crossmember, battery box and some other miscellaneous stuff. So looks like the trucks going in on Monday and there cool about letting me install the kit while it's there. It will be great working in a warm shop, now if only the front axle would show up. Humm.
Was able to shoot most of the larger parts with chassis black from eastwood yesterday. Will have to redo the swaybar and smaller parts another day.[/IMG]
Martin, looks sweet what are you doing with the axle or just a new one?
Kind of a screw-up on my part, but just finished grinding off the new shock
mounts and the old spring perches after I just had the whole thing powder coated.
When I decided to go with new springs I didn't realize I would have to change perch locations and I wouldn't need shock mounts at all. What can you do? Hey, It's only money.
LOL! Yeah, but it sucks when it's YOURS! Have you found the "odds nd ends" you were looking for yet? If not, I'll try to get out there and look tomorrow. The temps here didn't get into double digits until late this afternoon. What a crappy weekend to have 3 days off! Next week isn't supposed to be much better.

Well this was the most costly mistake so far and would like to have the money and time back but, 200 buck is not the end of the world. Nothing yet.
