Need help in Central Florida
I needed some local advice from Florida enthusiasts and I hoped you might make some suggestions for me.
I have a 2006 F350 6L.
A few months back I decided to get a Liberator EGR delete kit and had a local place install this for me.
My problem now is that my CEL is on and I need to find a way (or a programmer) to turn it off. I know the CEL is a result of the EGR delete kit mod. In addition to the egr delete, I purchased from the local truck place here a SCT programmer with a custom tune from Liberator. In the weeks following the modifications, I noticed bad shift points at 40-45mph, very poor acceleration at on-ramps, cold start issues each morning, and a decrease in fuel economy. When I took the SCT programmer off and went back to stock I noticed an increase in fuel economy, no cold start issues, and good shifting and acceleration(as far as stock goes). My truck is running fine on stock now for a month but need the CEL light turned off ASAP.
The truck place that did the mods has had my programmer now for near a month as they said they would download a new program that was sent by Liberator and I am growing weary that they will follow through to resolve this CEL issue and make the programmer useful. I am also a bit weary of trying the SCT programmer again because of the initial issues.
Do you know or can you personally recommend a person in Central Florida region that has the knowledge to help me turn off the light as well as suggest/install a proven programmer to help my truck run more efficiently and smoother?
