Its a supercharged 5.4L V8. It can be a very quick truck with some pulley changes and tuning. Drives like a car (for a truck).

I like the lightning, but I'm not really a ford engine kind of guy. Hence the International in my truck.

Aaahhh gotcha. Sounds cool, although I'm not much of a gasser kinda guy and mine goes pretty fast to for a big hipped girl. Although if I was to go a gasser that probably would be the one I would go for(if I could find it, they stopped making those I'm wanting to say, but I don't know for sure).

Yep. The first gen was made from 1993-1995. And the second generation was made from 1999-2004.

Running mobile everyday with a GMC 3/4 ton loaded with 650 pound bed slide loaded to the bottom of an ARE topper, I well know what it feels like to run through fuel! I take on about $75.00 worth every other day. I have 165,000 miles on it now and when it dies my F350 will fill the bill, if I can stay in my wife's good graces. She call the F350 dually her truck. I am really amazed the way the diesel sips fuel compared to my gasser. Running empty or lightly loaded it hits about 19 mpg, although I do try to feather foot given the price of old dinosaur. Fortunately, I charge my customers for travel or what I do would bankrupt me. For mileage, even though diesel is higher, you still get more miles per dollar spent at the pumps. At least that is the way it is working out for me.
